Windows Installation Instructions

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode

  1. Open Settings (Windows + I)
  2. Go to Update & Security > For developers
  3. Turn on Developer Mode
  4. Confirm when prompted

Step 2: Download and Install

  1. Download the MSIX package using the button above
  2. Right-click the downloaded file and select "Install"
  3. Or open PowerShell as Administrator and run:
Add-AppxPackage -Path "path\to\HouzLinc-1.0.0-x64.msix"

Step 3: Launch

  1. Search for "HouzLinc" in the Start menu
  2. Click to launch the application
  3. Configure your Insteon Hub connection

Android Installation Instructions

Step 1: Enable Unknown Sources

  1. Open Settings on your Android device
  2. Go to Security & privacy > Install unknown apps
  3. Select your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
  4. Toggle "Allow from this source"

Step 2: Download and Install

  1. Download the APK file using the button above
  2. Open the downloaded APK file
  3. Tap "Install" when prompted
  4. Wait for installation to complete

Step 3: Launch

  1. Find HouzLinc in your app drawer
  2. Tap to launch the application
  3. Grant necessary permissions
  4. Configure your Insteon Hub connection

System Requirements

Windows

  • OS: Windows 10 version 1909 or later
  • Architecture: x64 (64-bit)
  • Memory: 4GB RAM minimum, 8GB recommended
  • Storage: 100MB available space
  • Network: WiFi connection to same network as Insteon Hub
  • .NET: .NET 9 runtime (included in package)

Android

  • OS: Android 13 (API level 33) or higher
  • Architecture: ARM64 or x64
  • Memory: 2GB RAM minimum, 4GB recommended
  • Storage: 100MB available space
  • Network: WiFi connection to same network as Insteon Hub
  • Permissions: Network access
